From Sound Sleep To Suspended Animation

From Sound Sleep To Suspended Animation

These days our media and social networks reflect our forth-coming elections. We proudly like or dislike certain candidates and believe our former cricket captain will cure the national ailment or our former dictator has realized his MISTAKE and now ready to help us in true spirit. One more time we are ready to buy which is out in the market not what we really want. Our net poles reflect the same mind set that someone with magical wand will correct everything while we remain in our suspended animation. How ironic, our third generation isn’t different from previous generations. . Our knowledge has made us cynical. Our cleverness, hard and unkind. We think too much and feel too little. We still believe some one has to conquer to solve the problems we have.

We believe that some person will come and lead us and then we will go to our jobs at time, people will not lie, we will feel national responsibilities and act accordingly. We will stop throwing trash out on the street and will never abuse every social privilege we have. I must say we all are dreamers.

We the people of Pakistan consider Pakistani Govt as a sole executing agency morally responsible for National and State affairs .We strongly believe that it is only duty of Govt to nurture the democracy, nationalism and patriotism. All we want is to enjoy our slumber and then just for the sake of tradition object every thing from local to foreign policy to justify our own shortcomings.

We have been the ambassadors of the whole idea of new faces to govern us :  all the way from central Asian Barbaric  invasions to present day political stage , because this idea saves us from our responsibility to correct ourselves . It is easy to continue our sound sleep than to wake up correct our shortcomings. It is our duty to carve a decent world and a proud Nation , a decent world that will give men a chance to work – that will give youth a future and old age a security. By the promise of these things, brutes have risen to power. But they lie! They do not fulfil that promise. They never will. New faces with the promises of new system can never help us unless we are ready to help ourselves. So it is the time to wake up and start correcting ourselves and make us worthy to be lead as a Nation in the right direction.

  2. Well our net poles merely reflect uneducated masses, the povery stricken population that's easily bought and the feudal system worsens the situation. Anyway my point is the ethos of educated man and an illiterate's is worlds apart, so not comparable. So our net poles just reflect the jahaalat that's prevalent here.
We are actually in a state of apathy, we don't really care about or expect pretty much anything from our leaders/govt.

  3. @ rabiya .. here I have reservations , may be I didnt clearly describe the net poles , I was talking about face book and other social network poles .. Now these networks are being used by people like you and me so , may be we the educated class is driven away with the same ideology

  5. Why is it that I actually have to FOLLOW your blog every time ? Why cant I just follow you once and stay connected to whatever you write ? You know I'd follow you blindly brother. On another note, I think Imran Khan is going to lose again. Even though I really am a supporter of Imran Khan but I think he will lose. Knowing the political system in Pakistan and the reasons that we have to vote for all the shit-heads that we elect, I really think he has no chance. And Pakistani's will be Pakistanis... the worst nation on earth. And I seriously think that we are all doomed and will burn forever in hell, here and in the life after. I am really ashamed that I am a Pakistani. Certain people might object to my statement. But I have my reasons. cheers.. or tu tension na liya kar yaar.. chill kiya kar.. ;)

  6. Missed the media and the social networks, i get it now. It's such a sad fact that none of us actually know what sacrifices our ancestors had to make to get this piece of land. So we never realize what our 'elected' govt. stakes everytime it does something stupid. Sorry that was totally beside the point, but there are not many people alive who witnessed the making of Pakistan and very soon we won't be left with anyone to remind of the struggle for independence, and for some reason the idea is nagging me for a past few months.

  7. @ Cheemy ... Thanks for following and supporting brother , I appreciate it .. Imran khan .. Over Seas Pakis can also vote , from where I see without external influence and western interests , he has very strong chances to win , but can you name me any other person from Tehreek e Insaaf other than him , so he is also running one man show , in other words , a new dictator .... -
how come Pakistanis are doomed if they have enlightened people like you and many others so I still believe tables can be turned :)

  8. @ Rabia .. yes indeed here two questions . not only what sacrifices , but who made them .. we lost track of both . but brutes used it to their advantage and now we have MQM .. so it is really an important question. Plus one more thing leme tell you , bitter truth , all sacrifices were during migration not during freedom movement because before that it was joint venture by both sides all people of subcontinent so here we confuse the essence of sacrifice... let leave the past and built the present to ensure the future ..

  9. Sharoon.. Overseas Pakistanis cannot vote... yet. The bill is still pending. And Imran Khan ? Well.. I wouldnt mind a dictator like Imran Khan who I think is a visionary and could lead us to somewhere and is backed by the youth. But honestly, he himself will win but his party is not going to win. Our people are not humans, they are sheep. And the sheep follow other sheep. Our caste system, biraadri-ism, chaudhries and stuff is not going to help either. Problem is that in our country, people vote for individuals, for personal reasons. And in all the developed and better nations, people vote for parties and their policies and promises. They dont care who is the candidate, as long as they are backed by the party. THAT, my friend, is the difference. And honestly, I wish that our people could, for once, elect Imran Khan and he gets more than 2/3rd majority like Nawaz Sharif in 1997. Though I know this will not happen. But if this happens, this is in our favour completely. Only a dictator, who cannot be challenged, can make some important, wise and brutal decisions which are hard to swallow but are for greater good. Like making of Kala Bagh dam, like death sentence for tax-evasion, like death sentence for corruption, like banning the people with criminal record to contest elections and enter any govt service. Like death sentence if someone is found storing the sugar illegally, like death sentence for paedophiles and starting some energy projects which are enough for next 50 yrs. Only a one man show like Imran Khan can do it. Remember that. If Nawaz Sharif/Zardari/Maulana/Altaf Hussain or anyone else comes into power, these things will never happen. Because there is too much conflict of interest.

On another note, Pakistanis are doomed because they deserved it and they asked for it. God doesnt help those who dont want to help themselves. And enlightened people cannot do shite. Tables are not turned by enlightened people without power. This needs extra-ordinary struggle. And enlightened people are always lazy and easily scared ;) Remember that.

Chill kar.. and watch this song. This will help you relax a bit. This is Pakistan in 3 minutes and 18 seconds !

  10. Dude I must say , your video is awesome .. and I have spread it like public service duty :)
And you forgot about another list ...... Banning and separating religion from state affairs and constitution . Pakistan came into being because of need for a state where Muslims can freely practice Islam .. Like Muslims can freely practice Islam in whole europe and america but Pakistan . It was never meant that legislation would be based on religion . Even name of Pakistan was Republic Of Pakistan when it came into being . ...
yes enlightened people are little MUSLAHAT PASAND , but may be they are rising so lets see .. hum dekhein gay :)
